József Kreul “Joe” Bugner (born 13 March 1950) is a Hungarian-born British former heavyweight boxer. He holds triple nationality, being a citizen of Hungary and a naturalized citizen of both Australia and the United Kingdom. He was ranked among the world’s top ten heavyweights during the 1970s, fighting such opponents as Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Henry Cooper, Brian London, and Jose Luis Garcia. He fought for the world heavyweight championship in 1975, losing on points in a second bout with Ali.

He is also a teacher and director in theater, film and television. He has won two Emmy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award, being nominated for nine Emmy Awards and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards in total. He is also a three-time Golden Globe Award nominee.
