Julius Nyerere

Julius Kambarage Nyerere (13 April 1922 – 14 October 1999) was a Tanzanian politician who served as the first President of Tanzania and previously Tanganyika, from the country’s founding in 1961 until his retirement in 1985.

John Braine

John Gerard Braine (13 April 1922 – 28 October 1986) was an English novelist. Braine is usually associated with the Angry Young Men movement. Braine is chiefly remembered today for his first novel, Room at the Top (1957), which was also turned into a successful film in 1959.
