Harvey Milk (May 22, 1930 – November 27, 1978) was an American politician who became the first openly gay person to be elected to public office in California when he won a seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. On November 27, 1978, Milk and Mayor George Moscone were assassinated. Born Harvey Bernard Milk in Woodmere, New York. (d. 1978)

Kenny Ball

Kenny Ball (22 May 1930 – 7 March 2013) was an English jazz musician, best known as the bandleader, lead trumpet player and vocalist in Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen. At the end of 1961 they reached No. 2 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and the UK Singles Chart, with “Midnight in Moscow”. Born Kenneth Daniel Ball in Ilford, Essex, England. (d. 2013)
